In 2001, Femtec GmbH was founded at the Technical University (TU) of Berlin to increase the small proportion of women studying mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, or technology (STEM). The stated goal is to network female STEM talents for personal career development and to provide them with long-term support.
Task
Relaunch the Femtec brand eighteen years after its foundation and develop a new communication strategy.
Implementation/Results
Together with the Femtec team, we worked out how their corporate identity needed to be further developed and which corporate design modifications this would entail. The result was a brand relaunch with a new logo, a new claim, and a new website. As a survey showed, the contemporary, standardised appearance enhanced the image and strengthened the identification of both the network partners and the students with the Femtec brand.
In addition, Femtec was increasingly discussed (on the radio, in podcasts, in print, and on social media). Femtec’s education and qualification programmes are now much better known. This has led to increased interest from female students and potential partners in science and business. At the end of the project period, we handed over responsibility for marketing and branding to the Femtec team.
